A columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle cautioned against fuel price hikes stemming from the LCFS and endorsed Governor Newsom’s decision to acceleration CARB’s review of E15:
“Newsom also recently took the long-overdue step of directing the Air Resources Board to accelerate its study of implementing the use of E15, a higher-ethanol gasoline blend already offered in every other state that research suggests could bring down gas prices by 20 cents per gallon without increasing pollution," wrote Emily Hoeven, an opinion columnist and editorial writer at the Chronicle. "The air board has dragged its feet on implementation despite recently admitting that it completed much of its E15 study in 2022.”
