Researchers recently explained the need for California's adoption of E15, highlighting the potential savings at the pump for drivers in the Golden State.
“Our analysis found that introducing E15 fuel, a blend of15% ethanol and 85% gasoline, could save California drivers approximately 20 cents per gallon at the pump compared to the current E10 blend (10% ethanol,90% gasoline) that is the standard gasoline formulation at gas station pumps in California. Considering the state’s annual fuel consumption of 13.49 billion gallons, the adoption of E15 could translate into nearly $2.7 billion in annual savings for consumers.”
